SWITZERLAND: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) states that it is committed to staging the 2021 Tokyo Olympic Games.
It is considering multiple scenarios to occur safely according to the IOC.
IOC President Thomas Bach said that IOC remains fully committed to celebrating Tokyo 2020 in July and August next year, via a video conference.
Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the IOC and Japan had postponed the Tokyo Games to March 2021.
According to Bach, a 'successful work in progress' was announced by the coordination commission of the IOC.
