BHAKTAPUR: Statistics show that Bhaktapur district is becoming a hotspot of Corona. In Bhaktapur, the number of infected people has reached 273 as of Sunday and two people have died. Of those infected, 110 are women and 163 are men. The deceased have been identified as a man and a woman of Suryabinayak Municipality.
Most of the infected people in Bhaktapur are in Madhyapur Thimi municipality. According to the District Health Office, Bhaktapur, 99 people have been infected in Madhyapur Thimi Municipality, 36 in Bhaktapur Municipality, 73 in Suryabinayak Municipality and 20 in Changunarayan Municipality. Of the infected people mentioned in Bhaktapur, 17 are from Kharipati quarantine while the rest are from the Armed Police Force Guheshwari Battalion.
Madhyapur Thimi has emerged as a hotspot for corona infection. The number of people infected with corona in Madhyapur Thimi has reached 99 by Sunday evening. Of them, 13 have won corona and 30 are undergoing treatment at different hospitals. Of those infected, 53 are in home isolation. The municipality has stated that two people are out of contact and one person could not be contacted without a phone. In Madhyapur Thimi, the highest ward no. There are 3 infected people. So far, 38 people have been confirmed infected.
Similarly, Vada no. 19 in 1, 5 in 2, 3 in 4, 5 in 5, 8 in 6, 10 in 7, 4 in 8 and 6 in 9 have been confirmed infected in ward no. 1 Ward Chairman Suraj Khadka informed. Khadka said that a person from Madhyapur was given the wrong address and later sent there as Suryabinayak.
Ward no. 2 ward president Ram Thapa said. Pointing out the need to identify the household members and the community at risk of corona virus in the city area, he said that the swabs of such people should be collected from house to house in collaboration with Nepal-Korea Friendly Municipal Hospital and Ward Committee.
Similarly, corona infection has been confirmed in
73 people in Suryabinayak Municipality till Sunday evening. Of them, 33 are
women and 40 are men. Of those infected, two women and four men have recovered
and one woman and one man have died. Ward no. 1 in 3 women, Ward no. 2 out of 4
women 12 men, 3 out of 3 women 3 men, 4 out of 7 women 7 men, 5 out of 5 women
6 men have been infected. Vada no. 8 out of 6 women and 5 men, 8 out of 2
women, 5 men, 9 out of 2 men and 10 out of 10 women have been infected. Ward
no. In 7 cases, the number of corona infections is zero.
The municipality has stated that Dadhikot of Ward
No. 4, Salaghari of Ward No. 5, Pandobazar Chowk of Ward No. 6 and Balkot area
of Ward No. 2 from Suryabinayak Chowk to Maheshwari Petrol Pump No. 8 are
high risk areas. The health workers of the municipality have collected swabs
from the people in close contact with the infected people and the municipality
has decided to test the samples from the community level soon.
In Bhaktapur municipality, the number of corona
cases has reached 36, of which 22 are men and 14 are women. Out of the infected
people of Bhaktapur city, 16 have won the corona. Among the infected, 5 men and
one woman are being treated in home isolation and 14 people including 6 women
are being treated in isolation of Kharipati, KMC, Hams and Bhaktapur hospitals.

Coronavirus infections are relatively low in
Changunarayan municipality. In Changunarayan Municipality, 20 people including
5 women and 15 men have been infected till August 20. According to Assistant
Administrative Officer Nilakumari Ghimire, the infected people of Changunarayan
Municipality have not been registered in the municipality since August 20.
Similarly, corona infection was found in 17 people who were rescued from abroad
and kept in the quarantine of the training center of Kharipati-based
Electricity Authority. In Changunarayan, 13 people including 4 women and 9 men
have been cured, while 1 woman and 2 men are in home isolation and 3 men are in
isolation in different hospitals, said Ghimire.
