Kathmandu. Guthi Sansthan has started preparations for the reception of food, accommodation and music for the saints coming to Pashupati area on Mahashivaratri. In preparation, 34,800 kg of firewood has been provided for the saints visiting Pashupatinath.

Uma Acharya, head of the Guthi Sansthan Pashupati Goshwara office, said that a letter was sent to the central office demanding budget according to the standard of saints coming for Pashupati Nath Darshan. This year, the corporation is preparing to give Dakshina to the saints in six categories of Rs 951, Rs 751, Rs 551, Rs 351, Rs 251 and Rs 151. A demand of Rs. 28 lakh 65 thousand 376 has been made from the central office for the same.

Preparations have been made to place the saint at Ram Mandir, Annapurna Bhandar, Gorakhnath Mandir and other places. Arrangements are made for Naga Baba to stay, eat and wake up inside the main temple of Pashupatinath.

The institute has a tradition of arranging for the saints to eat, stay and wake up from Phagun Krishna Ekadashi to Aunsi. The day of Aunsi is celebrated with Dakshina. This year, Mahashivaratri is celebrated on March 10. Accommodation is provided to the saints from Phagun Krishna Ekadashi on March 10 to August 15.

Due to the Corona epidemic, fewer saints are expected to arrive this year than in the past. Before the establishment of Pashupati Area Development Fund, the corporation used to manage saints on Mahashivaratri.

After the establishment of the fund, it has also been providing additional assistance. On Mahashivaratri, all the saints and devotees coming to Pashupatinath will be able to visit Nath. Pradip Dhakal informed.
