KATHMANDU: The monsoon has brought rain to several parts of Nepal, and significant rains are expected in Province 1, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces on Saturday.

The flow of water in the Koshi, Karnali, and Mahakali rivers, as well as their tributaries, will increase on Saturday, according to the Flood Forecast Division (FFD). The division warned residents to be cautious in locations where rivers and their tributaries flow, citing the high water flow. Residents living along the Kankai, West Rapti, Babai, and tributary rivers have been advised to exercise caution.

According to the FFD, flooding is forecast today in the province 1 districts of Ilam, Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Dhankuta, Udayapur, Bhojpur, and Sankhuwasabha. Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, and Sarlahi in Province 2 are also at risk of flooding.
