Ban on sale and distribution of eight brands of drugs in Nepal

KATHMANDU: The Department of Drug Management has banned the sale and distribution of eight brands of medicines saying that they have produced low quality medicines. According to the department, seven pharmaceutical companies have been banned from selling and distributing because of their poor quality.

The distribution of Fexofedine produced by Prime Pharmaceutical Birgunj has been stopped. Similarly, Lapillage 10 produced by CTL Pharmaceutical Bhaktapur, Irogonal-200 produced by Magnus Pharma Bara, Inox produced by MTech Med Kathmandu and Gastogel Suspension Drug manufactured by Bhaskar Herbasutical Birgunj, ITAC2 manufactured by Biogen Remedies Rupandehi and ITA2 The department has stated that the sale has also been stopped.
