KATHMANDU: The world's first 3D printed housing community (colony) is being built in California. The dwellings along this toll road will all be 3D printed.
Palari Group and Mighty Buildings have announced this. Such houses are being built in California's Kochela Valley. Palari Group is a sustainable real estate developer, and Mighty Buildings is a startup company. 3D printing and robotic automation are used to make the building kits.
According to reports, the two corporations have purchased five acres of land in California. According to the Guardian, a community of 15 environmentally friendly residences would be established. By next spring, the neighborhood is expected to be ready.
It will be the world's first planned neighborhood with 3D printed homes once all of these residences are constructed. Mighty Building employs 3D printers to build houses in a warehouse at its Oakland headquarters. Mighty Building's materials are instantaneously toughened. As a result, roofing and insulation work can be performed rapidly.
The price of these 3D printed homes will range from $595,000 and $950,000. According to Mighty Holmes, the process is mechanized to the tune of 80%. It's also said to be 95% less labor-intensive and ten times less wasteful than traditional construction. The company says that their printer can build a 350-square-foot house in just 24 hours.
In 2019, a non-profit organization in Mexico announced that it would provide 3D printed homes to low-income families. In addition, 3D printed dwellings in Austin, Texas, and other sites will be connected by the end of the year.
