COVID-19: Tally reaches 12,772, as 463 new cases report in Nepal

KATHMANDU: According to the Ministry of Health and Population, in the last 24 hours a total of 463 new cases of coronavirus — 358 males and 105 females — have been confirmed in Nepal.

For this, the Ministry spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor Gautam said the total number of confirmed cases in the country has reached 12,772.

Until now, Nepal has carried out 210,876 sample tests using the PCR method, he said.

A total of 4,962 sample tests were performed using the PCR method and 2,732 sample tests were performed during the last 24 hours of the RDT process, the ministry said.

Likewise, in the past 24 hours 179 people have been discharged from the hospital after recovering from the pandemic virus. Since this the number of people rescued has reached 3,013.

There are currently 9,731 people in solitary confinement and 61,731 people in quarantines around the world.

COVID-19 has spread to all 77 nepal districts.
