IPL rules change from this season

Kathmandu, Agency. The 15th season of IPL is starting from March 26. Earlier, the BCCI had changed some rules of the tournament. This change includes rules relating to DRS from the team's playing XI. According to a report by Cricketbuzz, if a team comes out with corona-related cases, their playing XI could be changed.

If the team fails to produce a playing eleven, the game will be postponed. If the match is not played later, the matter will be referred to the technical committee, a BCCI official said. If this is not possible, the matter will be referred to the technical committee of the IPL, whose decision will be final.

In addition, the team will now receive two DRS instead of one in each inning. That means the team can take 4 DRS in the game. The board also recently decided to implement a change of catch rules for the tournament by the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC). According to the new rules of MCC, if a batsman is caught, the strike will not be considered changed and a new batsman will come on strike. If the catch is in the last ball of the over, the strike will change.

The rules for tie-breakers in the playoffs and finals have also been changed. If a Super Over does not take place after a draw in a playoff or final match or another Super Over is not possible after a Super Over if necessary, the winner of the game will be decided based on the results of both teams in the league stage. This means that the team that is above its opponent in the league stage will be considered the winner.

The first match of the tournament will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders on March 26 at Wankhede Stadium. Now only the venue and date of the league game have been made public. The final game is scheduled for May 29.

All the 70 games of the league stage will be played in Maharashtra. 55 matches will be played in Mumbai and 15 in Pune. Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium and Dr. 20 matches will be played at DY Patil Stadium and 15 matches will be played at Brabourne Stadium. The remaining 15 matches will be played at the MCA International Stadium in Pune.

The two new IPL teams Lucknow Super Giants and Gujarat Titans will start their campaign from March 28. The game will be played at Wankhede Stadium.
