KATHMANDU: Two men have been arrested by police on charges of assaulting a child with acid.
A team of the Metropolitan Crime Division, Kathmandu, arrested Mohammad Alam of Rautahat District, currently residing in Dallu, Kathmandu and Munna Mohammad, an Indian national.
They were arrested Thursday night from the Nargarjun municipality-4 municipality of Sirjansheel Tole.
Both also confessed to poisoning the girl with acid over unrequited love affairs according to police.
At Bafal on Thursday night Pabitra Karki, 22, of Okhaldhunga was attacked with acid while she was out to buy curd.
The victim is being treated at hospital in Kirtipur.
